Circular blanks are circular metal cut-to-size pieces. They serve as the starting point for components that are subsequently formed, assembled, coated or incorporated into further manufacturing processes. The servo-driven circular blanking press processes the raw material directly from the coil. The circular blanks are staggered and punched in multiple rows. This process logic improves material utilisation and reduces the proportion of scrap compared with less optimised blanking processes.
This is a significant advantage for industrial series production: high punching speeds enable large quantities to be produced in a short time, whilst short set-up times provide greater flexibility when dealing with varying order profiles. This allows round metal plates to be manufactured cost-effectively without compromising on precision or surface quality.
